KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Of the 14,443 COVID-19 tests conducted on Tuesday, 1,562 tests turned out to be positive, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). Also, 19 people succumbed to COVID-19 on the same day.


With this, Nepal has confirmed 866,905 cases of COVID-19, 742,306 recoveries and 10,984 deaths due to the virus so far. Likewise, 5,243,236 people across the country have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 as of Tuesday afternoon.

According to the MoHP, there are currently 26,202 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 24,690 are in home isolation, 1,512 in institutional isolation, 453 in ICUs and 137 on ventilators. Similarly, 223 are in quarantine facilities.


Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 404 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Of them, 294 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 48 in Bhaktapur and 62 in Lalitpur districts.
