Of 11,944 tests conducted on Thursday, 1,271 turn out to be positive

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Of the 11,944 COVID-19 tests conducted on Thursday, 1,271 tests turned out to be positive, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). Also, 14 people succumbed to the deadly virus on the same day.

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Of the 11,944 COVID-19 tests conducted on Thursday, 1,271 tests turned out to be positive, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). Also, 14 people succumbed to the deadly virus on the same day. 


With this, Nepal has confirmed 860,806 cases of COVID-19, 735,006 recoveries and 10,903 deaths so far. Likewise, 5,102,244 people across the country have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Thursday.

There are currently 28,678 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 26,883 cases are in home isolation, 1,792 in institutional isolation, 458 in ICUs and 139 on ventilators. Similarly, 231 are currently in quarantine. 


Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 433 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 329 were recorded in Kathmandu, 37 in Bhaktapur and 67 in Lalitpur districts.
