Six die in separate accidents

BIRATNAGAR, Jan 16: Six persons have died in separate accidents in Morang, Jhapa and Saptari districts.



Manoj Bhagat, 22, and Gopal Pariyar, 38, of Banigama-1, Morang, and 35-year-old Nem Narayan Chaudhary of Banigama-5 were killed when a bus (Ko 1 Kha 1013) heading west veered off the East West Highway at Belbari, Morang on Friday evening.



Chaudhary died on the spot while the two breathed their last at Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar, according to the Eastern Regional Police Headquarter, Biratnagar.



Likewise, Tara Katuwal, 23, of Keraun, Morang died when a motorcycle (Ba 35 Pa 8873) she was pillion-riding was hit by a bus (Me 1 Kha 856) at Satashidham, Jhapa on Saturday. Motorcyclist Ananta Rajbanshi of Shivgunj, Jhapa is in critical condition.



Similarly, Bal Krishna Dahal, 45, of Sikkim, India died in a car accident at Surunga, Jhapa along the East West Highway Friday night.



Meanwhile, 17-year-old Indian man named Sikander breathed his last at Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital, Rajbiraj Saturday after being knocked down by a vehicle at Kalyanpur, Saptari of the East West Highway.
