Two pedestrians die in separate road accidents

JANAKI (BANKE), Dec 1: Two pedestrians died in separate road accidents in Banke and Kailali districts on Thursday night.


Keshav Kunwar, 40, of Raptisonari Rural Municipality-8 died when a bus heading towards Kathmandu from Mahendranagar hit him along the East-West Highway in Banke district, according to the Area Police Office, Kohalpur. Injured Kunwar died in the course of treatment.

Police have arrested the bus driver Dharma Raj Timilsina for investigation into the incident.


Meanwhile, in Kailali, Damber Bahadur Bista, 37, of Mohonyal Rural Municipality-7 died when a bus headed east from west hit him, according to the Area Police office, Lamki.


Investigation into the case is underway by arresting the bus driver.
