After the success of the first three Shrek series, the final chapter is, well, the final one in the series. [break] But we sure could do some more Shrek movies because the production is not the typical “fairy tale story” but, at the same time, has magic, king and queens, witches and, of course, ogres. What more would you want?
Rumpelstiltskin is back in action in the movie and the film is fully surrounded by all magical characters. The central struggle for Shrek, after he signs a deal with Rumpelstiltskin, is that he must find a way to make Fiona fall in love with him once again. When there is character like Rumpelstiltskin and his witches, who die if you sprinkle water on them, is bound to be interesting.
In the final chapter, a magical creation of DreamWorks, there is a whole new meaning for the true love kiss. Love does all the magic, doesn’t it? Well, for Shrek it does and for him Fiona’s one kiss is all it takes to get on a magical ride back home and to his normal life.The witches are totally awesome in the movie, from the way they fly with their broom sticks, their pumpkin bombs, there tiny lanterns to the ropes with metal skulls at the end that bite; everything is very well thought of and put together.
Donkey, Puss in boots and Donkey’s wife, the dragon, is always a glee to see. With humor like that of the Donkey and expression of the Puss, who wouldn’t love them?
A perfect family movie, one that the kids won’t be afraid to watch, is Shrek and it comes in 3D at Kumari Hall, Kamal Pokhari. The movie is definitely worth a watch and by the time the movie ends, you only wished that it wasn’t the last one in the series.
The 3D animation in the movie is just amazing. It was actually a lot better 3D experience from that of Avatar. From the horses and Shrek coming right at your face, thanks to the three dimensional effect, and with the perfect plot, it is one hell of an experience you’re bound to get.
If you haven’t watched the first three movies in the series, it’s really not much of a problem. However, don’t be late to the hall and don’t miss the first few minutes of the movie as it gives you a small recap of the previous ones. But we’re quite sure that you will want to watch all three in the series after you watch the final chapter. And no, you’re not the only one who hasn’t watched the first three Shrek movies. So, be cool and don’t feel dumb struck.
