KATHMANDU, Nov 4: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Purna Bahadur Khadka has said that saving the lives of the people injured in the earthquake is the first priority for the government at present.
Speaking to media persons at Surkhet Airport this morning, Deputy Prime Minister Khadka stated that the government’s first responsibility now is to protect the lives of the injured and said that all resources have been mobilized for it.

DPM Khadka who also serves as the Defense Minister shared that three helicopters including a sky truck and an Mi-17 helicopter of the Nepali Army are being used for search, rescue and relief operations from Kathmandu. "Our first priority is to rescue the injured and take them to the nearest hospital," he said, "All the security agencies including the Nepali Army have been mobilized for rescue and relief work."
