KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the authorities concerned not to leave any stone unturned to ensure rescue efforts and provide treatment to those injured in the blast at Ranabada of Tilagufa Municipality-10 in Kalikot district. Saving the lives of citizens is the main responsibility of the state, the MoHA stated.
Following the direction, a helicopter of the Nepal Army reached Kalikot and rescued the injured people to Surkhet, said Chief District Officer, Surkhet, Ram Hari Sharma.

An improvised explosive device went off after children hurled stones at it while playing. The incident left one dead and four others injured, he said. The incident took place at 8 am today.
Four-year-old Jharana Thapa and four-year-old Saraswati Rana, of Tilagufa Municipality-10 injured in the explosion died in the course of treatment, he said.
Three others seriously injured children have been identified as seven-year-old Kamal Thapa, five-year-old Muskan Thapa and three-year-old Sapana Thapa of the municipality are receiving treatment at various hospitals, said the local administration. The police and Army have launched an investigation over the incident.
