Nakarmi made such announcement while handing over sports kits to the taekwondo players and officials selected for the 11th SAG at the National Sports Council on Wednesday. He gave away taekwondo kits, track suits, shoes and other materials worth Rs 12,000 each to 10 players and three officials.
Altogether 10 players, including four women players, will compete in different weight categories in the SAG.

Deepak Bista (U-87 kg), Badri Nath Basnet (over 87 kg), Ramesh Kumar Shrestha (U-80 kg), Dan Bahadur Airy (U-74 kg), Aashish Maharjan (U-68 kg), Kumar Manandhar (U-63 kg) will compete in men´s category and Manita Shahi (U-57 kg), Ayasha Shakya (U-53 kg), Sabina Maharjan (U-49kg) and Yan Kumari Chaulagain (U-46 kg) will contest in women´s category.
Deepak, the three time gold medalist, is aiming to set a new record by becoming the first Nepali player to win gold medal for the fourth consecutive time in the SAG. Nepal´s expectation with Deepak is very high. He is the first Nepali male player to qualify for the Olympics.

Senior player Kumar is a silver medalist of the last edition of SAG held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Ramesh Kumar is a participant of the Asian Games (2006). Meanwhile, Aashish, Dan Bahadur Airy and Badri Nath along with Ramesh Kumar are new faces.
Among the women players, Manita is a gold medalist of the previous edition while Ayasha is a silver medalist. Yan Kumari and Sabina Maharjan are the new faces. Yan Kumari was selected for the previous edition of SAG. She, however, was unable to prove her métier as she contracted jaundice during the last moment.
