KATHMANDU, July 1: The children of the employees of the National News Agency (RSS) who passed this year's the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination were feted amidst a program held here today.
The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), National Employees' Organization of Nepal and Nepal Employees Association's RSS Chapters jointly held a program to felicitate six students and their parents.
The SLC graduates feted include Executive Editor Tirtha Bhattarai's son Ashutosh Bhattarai (A Grade), senior correspondent Suresh Kumar Jha's son Gaurav Jha (A Plus), Deputy Manager Rajesh Shrestha's son Rojan Shrestha (B Plus), computer operator Bishnu Lamichane's two sons Biplop Lamichhane (A Grade) and Bibek Lamichane, and Assistant level staff Madhu Sudan Aryal's son Ujjwal Aryal (C Grade).
RSS Chairman, Kul Chandra Wagle, said while selecting higher education, students should also be mindful of the possibilities of the jobs they want to undertake in future and that the program sent a message to the society to respect others.
RSS General Manager, Nirmala Acharya, said passing the SLC was to overcome one hurdle in educational sector and wished success in higher education for the students.
RSS Deputy General Manager, Surendra Nepali, said the higher education subjects should not be chosen under pressure from anyone and advised for giving continuity to the subject in which students' have knowledge in mind and skill in hand. RSS
