KATHMANDU, May 12: A bomb has exploded at Milanchowk in Butwal on the eve of local elections. The bomb exploded at around 8:30 PM on Wednesday.
According to the Area Police Office, Butwal, a pressure cooker bomb exploded in front of the Sunrise Bank in Milanchowk. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast. However, a pamphlet with the name CPN (Maoist Center was found on the spot and the pamphlet asked all to boycott the local elections.

A team of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel had reached the site after learning of the bomb blast.
