Govt to allow students to study only  in seven universities in Cyprus

The government has decided to allow Nepali students to pursue higher studies only in seven universities in Cyprus. The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology announced that it will issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) exclusively for these seven universities.

KATHMANDU, March 25: The government has decided to allow Nepali students to pursue higher studies only in seven universities in Cyprus. The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology announced that it will issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) exclusively for these seven universities.


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has informed the Ministry of Education that other universities in Cyprus fail to meet the required academic standards and environment.


A total of 98 students obtained an NOC to study in Cyprus in Fiscal Year (FY)2023/24,  while 112 students received the NOC to study in Cyprus between Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August) and mid-October in 2024.
