KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli have held talks at the latter's residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, on the upcoming elections of Speaker and House of Representatives (HoR). and the President.
PM Dahal reached the Oli residence at 10.20AM for the meeting. The discussion between the two leaders is said to have dwelt on the current political context as well as expansion of the cabinet.
PM Dahal and UML Chairman Oli discuss cabinet expansion
Prime Minister Dahal is doing homework for the expansion of his cabinet after taking a vote of confidence from parliament on January 10. The two leaders also held a meeting on Sunday evening as well.
During Monday’s meeting, PM Dahal and leader Oli held discussions on topics like cabinet expansion and the election of the President and the Speaker, according to Oli's secretariat. Meetings between the two leaders have become frequent in recent days with the election to the post of Speaker scheduled for Wednesday.
