PM consults ex-AGs on fresh polls

KATHMANDU, May 30: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has consulted former attorney generals (AGs) at his office in Singha Durbar on Wednesday.



The discussion dwelt on constitutional provisions regarding the existing situation emerged after the dissolution of Constituent Assembly (CA) that has also left the country without parliament. [break



During the meeting, ex-attorney generals apprised PM Bhattarai about existing provisions regarding tackling the current situation in the post-CA period and procedures related to new elections, a press note issued by the PM´s aide Bishwodeep Pandey said.



AG Mukti Pradhan, former AGs Raghavlal Baidya, Mahadev Yadav, Laxmi Bahadur Niraula, Prem Bahadur Bista, Sarbagyaratna Tuladhar, Krishna Ram Shrestha, Yubraj Sangraula and Badri Bahadur Karki were present in the discussion.
