KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Shekhar Koirala held a separate discussion with close leaders amid the party’s ongoing Central Committee (CC) meeting. On Sunday, Koirala met with his allies at the Bishalnagar-based liaison office.
He consulted with leaders including NC Vice Chairman Dhanraj Gurung, Joint General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar, and CC members Bal Bahadur KC, Hriday Ram Thani, Deepak Giri, Sarita Prasain, Pratima Gautam, Kiran Yadav, Govind Pokharel, Dinesh Koirala, Ajay Babu Sivakoti, Mukta Kumari Yadav, Prakash Snehi, and Ganesh Lama.

During the meeting, some CC members expressed dissatisfaction, targeting Koirala and criticizing him for not strongly drawing attention to the fact that Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba has not been running the party according to its rules and regulations.
They urged Koirala to take a clear stand with NC President Deuba on issues such as ticket distribution for the upcoming local byelections, nomination of CC members, formation of departments, and the selection of leadership in fraternal and benevolent organizations.
