TAPLEJUNG, Oct 18: Pathivara Temple, one of the famous Hindu shrines in eastern Nepal, has been closed for visitors.
The local administration took a decision to this effect in order to avoid large gatherings amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pathibhara temple reopens
In normal days, devotees used to throng Pathivara Temple especially during Navratri.
The Ministry of Home Affairs had already directed all the local units across the country to conduct only the daily rituals and shut temples and shrines for visitors during the Dashain festival.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, Pathivara was frequently visited by devotees and visitors.
Devotees from Sikkim, Darjeeling, Achham, Gangtok, West Bengal and Bhutan also used to visit Pathivara.
