Patan High Court allows CIB to detain 10 bankers for 7 days

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Patan High Court has allowed the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police to detain 10 bankers who were arrested on the charge of lending more than the mortgage valuation for seven days.

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Patan High Court has allowed the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police to detain 10 bankers who were arrested on the charge of lending more than the mortgage valuation for seven days.


The CIB arrested 10 people including Manoj Neupane and Tulsiram Gautam, the then CEO of Century Commercial Bank, for their involvement in banking offenses.

The CIB has said that they were arrested on charges of irregularities in lending money while working at Century Bank.


The other arrested persons are Subas Bahadur Shrestha, Anupama Shrestha Pradhan, Sunil Basnet, Sabin Ghimire, Dilip Baral, Dipesh Pradhan, Rajesh Bhandari and Raman Shrestha. All individuals have been accused of loan misappropriation.
