Palpa abduction case: Teenager appeals for safety on audio 4 years after abduction

PALPA, June 27: It has been four years since the disappearance of 17-year-old teenager Kishor Neupane, who was kidnapped from Tansen, the heaquarters of Palpa.

The case, which has gained prominence as a ‘High-Rank Unsolved Case’ in the Nepal Police Headquarters, has received attention from all quarters.

According to Chief of Palpa District Police Office, DSP Suman Timilsina, the present and former Chiefs  of Nepal Police have been taking progress report of the high-priority case.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) also has kept a keen-eye on the case, says Timilsina.

However, parents of the kidnapped teenager are not entirely convinced about the level of commitment exhibited by the Police in carrying out investigations into the case.

“Four years have passed by and we still don’t have any traces about his whereabouts neither have we found his body”,  says Kishor’s father Ram Prasad.

His parents await the news about their son at their ancestral village, Jalpa, some 30 kilometers east of Tansen.


Kishor was kidnapped from Tansen bazaar by unknown miscreants on August 7, 2011.
