Over 65,000 register details for national ID cards in Taplejung

TAPLEJUNG, Oct 4: More than 65,000 people have registered for national identity cards in Taplejung.

TAPLEJUNG, Oct 4: More than 65,000 people have registered for national identity cards in Taplejung.


According to Tanka Bahadur Bhattarai, the Information Officer and Assistant Chief District Officer of the District Administration Office (DAO) in Taplejung, a total of 65,238 individuals have registered for the national ID cards, comprising 34,365 men and 30,873 women. He also shared that the details cover data up to the last week of September.

Basanta Niraula, the Registration Officer of the National ID and Civil Registration Department, reported that 46,250 individuals registered their names during the National Identity Card Registration Campaign, while 19,033 individuals registered through the DAO.


Details of the national identity card are registered at the DAO. The DAO has made arrangements for the new citizenship holders to register their details for the national ID card on the same day they visit the district administration office to acquire their citizenship certificates.
