KATHMANDU, May 1: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has issued a notice, asking entertainment businesses such as nightclubs, dance bars, and live music venues, including the LOD club, to pay entertainment tax.
The revenue department of the metropolis issued a 35-day notice on Wednesday to Garage Entertainment, NM Productions, Gopi Krishna Movies, and others to pay entertainment tax. The notice mentions that Garage Entertainment held a musical concert on November 25, 2023, at Hyatt Hotel.

Earlier, on February 28, 2024, the metropolis had sent a letter requesting payment of taxes from nightclubs, dance bars, and musical events. The notice states that if the tax is not paid within the specified period, action will be taken as per Section 21 of the Finance Act, 2080 BS.
