A total of 332 units were imported through the Tatopani border, and 630 units through the Rasuwagadhi border, amounting to electric vehicles worth Rs 2.49 billion.
From the Tatopani Customs Office, a total of 332 units of EVs were imported, including 32 units of 15-25 seat minibuses, 21 units of 11-14 seat microbuses, 23 units of cars, jeeps, and vans with motor power up to 50 kW, 210 units of cars, jeeps, and vans with motor power between 51 kW and 100 kW, and 46 units of cars, jeeps, and vans with motor power between 101 kW and 200 kW, totaling Rs 776.5 million. The government collected Rs 445.9 million in customs duties from this import.
Similarly, from the Rasuwagadhi Customs Office, a total of 630 units of EVs worth Rs 1.71 billion were imported. The government collected Rs 978.1 million in revenue from this import.
By the month of Kartik in the current fiscal year, a total of 3,413 units of EVs worth Rs 8.82 billion have been imported from China. The government has collected a total of Rs 4.84 billion in revenue from this import in the past four months.
