CHITWAN, April 25: Of the two patients undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at the Chitwan-based Bharatpur Hospital, one was discharged from the hospital on Saturday. The 27-year-old man was sent home after he tested negative for the virus via the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
According to the hospital administration, the other patient, the mother of the discharged man, again tested positive via the PCR test. So, her treatment continues at the isolation ward of the hospital.

Both the mother and son had been diagnosed with coronavirus disease ten days ago.
Active cases drop to 37
With one recovery, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Nepal has dropped to 37. According to Dr Bikash Devkota, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, no new case was confirmed on Saturday. Of the active cases, one patient in Bharatpur, one in Dhangadi, five in Birgunj and 30 in Biratnagar are undergoing treatment for the disease. “They all are normal,” added Dr Devkota.
