Police said that Thapa was attacked by the elephant from the Chitwan National Park at his doorstep while he was coming out of his home at 11 pm.[break]
The folks of Madi area are hard hit for years as the elephants, rhinos and other wild animals from the national park are destroying the crops almost every year.
