CHITWAN, Jan 10: One person was killed and two others were injured in an accident involving a school bus and a truck at Panidhara of Ichhamanakamana Rural Municipality-5 in Chitwan along the Muglin Malekhu road section.
Police confirmed the deceased as Ganesh Prasad Silwal, 55, of Icchamanakamana Rural Municipality-3. According to Chitwan’s Superintendent of Police, Deepak Thapa, the truck ( Ga 1 Kha 5731) coming to Muglin from Kathmandu hit a bus ( Ba 1 Kha 5550) belonging to the local Pragathi Pathshala School from backside this morning. Silwal died while being taken to the Bharatpur Hospital.
Seven dead in Palpa bus accident
Durga Bahadur Silwal of Ichhamanakamana Rural Municipality-4 is being treated at the Bharatpur Hospital while Ram Babu Shrestha, 50, of Ichhamanakamana Rural Municipality-3 is receiving treatment at the Chitwan Medical College.
Both vehicles fell some 50-60 meters down from the road. However, the truck driver has been missing since the accident. School children onboard the bus at the time were unhurt. RSS
