Office of Attorney General decides to file appeal against Sandeep Lamichhane

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The Office of Attorney General has decided to appeal the Supreme Court (SC) against the decision of the Patan High Court acquitting Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane of rape charges.

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The Office of Attorney General has decided to appeal the Supreme Court (SC) against the decision of the Patan High Court acquitting Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane of rape charges.


The Office of the High Government Attorney in Patan made an opinion to file an appeal against the full text of the judgement in the rape case. After reviewing that file, the Office of Attorney General decided to appeal the case.

Cricketer Lamichhane will have to face the SC regarding the case against him. Following filing a petition for appeal, the SC will issue a deadline for Sandeep to appear at the court. After he receives the deadline, the legal proceedings will begin.


The Patan High Court has acquitted Sandeep in the rape case.
