NPC vice chair, 3 members resign

KATHMANDU, May 26: Four National Planning Commission officials, including its Vice Chairman Prof Dr Guna Nidhi Sharma resigned following the change in the government on Monday.



Members Ram Mani Pokharel, Dr Laxmi Prasad Devkota and Dr Sunil Babu Shrestha also quit along with Sharma.



Sharma, Pokharel, Devkota and Shrestha were appointed from Maoist quota by the Maoist-led government.



However, other members close to the CPN-UML, MPRF and Sadbhawana Party have continued in the office. They included Dinesh Devkota, Prem Kumar Kunwar, Ratneshwaw Kayastha and RD Singh.
