KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission (NPC), Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha, held a meeting with the World Bank’s (WB) Country Director for the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, Faris Hadad-Zervos on Friday.
During the meeting held at the NPC office in Singha Durbar, the two discussed synchronizing the WB's Country Partnership Framework (CPF) and the 16th periodic plan of Nepal, the NPC Vice-Chair’s ecretariat stated.

During the meeting, Vice-Chair Shrestha said that the 16th plan which is currently in the drafting process will be centered on infrastructure development, social sector reforms, increasing production and employment generation.
He stated that the 16th plan will give special attention to identify and resolve the existing structural problems.
The NPC vice-chair expressed gratitude to the development partners, including the WB, for their assistance to Nepal.
