KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The government on Sunday appointed three members at National Planning Commission (NPC). A meeting of Council of Ministers picked Swarnim Wagle, Prabhu Budhathoki and Prof. Bhirendraman Pradhan as NPC members.
Likewise, the meeting transferred 12 secretaries.
Secretary Shankar Prasad Adhikari at Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has been transferred to Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Western Regional Administrator Gopinath Mainali to Election Commission (EC), secretary Sharada Prasad Trital at EC to Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.
Likewise, Supplies secretary Sheedhar Sapkota has been transferred to Ministry of Defense, secretary at Ministry of Youth and Sports, Laxmi Prasad Mainali has been transferred to Ministry of Labor and Employment and secretary at Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Madhu Regmi has been transferred to Public Service Commission (PSC).

Similarly, Labor secretary Bishnu Lamshal has been transferred to Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, secretary at Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Arjun Kumar Karki to Nepal Trust, secretary Mahesh Kumar Dahal to Ministry of Youth and Sports, secretary at Nepal Trust Bhim Upadhyay to Water and Energy Commission, Tourism Secretary Prem Bahadur Rai to Ministry of Supplies and Secretary at Water and Energy Commission, Dhan Bahadur Tamang to Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
The meeting also approved the resignation of Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Mukesh Raj Kafle.
