No power can subvert democratic political system: PM Oli

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli asserted that no political power can subvert the current democratic political system, hinting at former King Gyanendra Shah’s recent activities including visit to Pokhara.

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli asserted that no political power can subvert the current democratic political system, hinting at former King Gyanendra Shah’s recent activities including his visit to Pokhara.


Prime Minister Oli vehemently stated that the Nepali people foiled the attempted coup conspired in the past and will keep doing so in the future, too, if such conspiracies are hatched.

"The elite people do not feel comfortable in the democratic system", Oli said, adding “People do not want the elite to rule but to serve.”


Speaking at a program organized to congratulate the newly elected office bearers of Nepal Engineers’ Association in the capital on Friday, Prime Minister Oli said, “Let’s work for the people no matter which class we belong to. All those belonging to elite group are not bad.”
