KATHMANDU, April 23. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has predicted clear weather across most parts of the country today, citing the partial influence of local and westerly winds over Nepal.
The DHM expects partly to generally cloudy conditions this afternoon in the hilly Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will remain clear. It also anticipates light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at a few locations in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

In addition, the DHM forecasts light rain and snowfall in a few high, hilly, and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
Tonight, the DHM expects partly cloudy skies over the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, with clear weather prevailing elsewhere. It also predicts light rain and snowfall chances in some high-altitude regions of Koshi and Gandaki.
