KATHMANDU, July 27: Despite several incidents of floods in the rivers throughout the country, the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has said that there is no need to issue flood warning for Wednesday and Thursday.

The MFD under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DoHM) claimed that the level of water in all the rivers throughout the country are below danger level and chances of heavy rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday are slim.

"We have not issued flood warning, as there is no chance of it for today [Wednesday] and tomorrow [Thursday]," Barun Poudel, Senior meteorologist at the MFD said.

According to meteorologist Poudel, water level in the rivers has reduced significantly.

Over three dozen people across the country have died in floods and landslides over the past three days.
