KATHMANDU, July 21: Heritage activists have demanded details related to properties owned by Guthi Corporation.
A group of heritage activists from the National Identity Preservation Joint Struggle Committee held the meeting with Guthi Sansthan Corporation Chairman Min Raj Chaudhary and sought details related to properties owned by the corporation.

On the occasion, the committee headed by Ganapati Lal Shrestha submitted the memorandum. In the memorandum, heritage experts have demanded to provide detail information related to movable and immovable assets owned by the corporation. During the meeting, Chaudhary vowed to provide details of Guthi’s assets.
According to the corporation, there are 2,335 public guthis (trusts) across the country under Guthi Corporation, the body which currently oversees all the trusts. The trustees of these guthis are local residents who have been managing the trusts decades.
