KATHMANDU, OCT 19: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday declined by 12.81 points to close at 1,845.51 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,858.33 points and went to a straight fall throughout the trading hours. The market fell to the day’s low at 1,840.55 points before recovering by around five points.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover
Except for hotels and tourism, the remaining 12 trading groups faced losses in their average market values. Non-life insurers lost the largest of 55.51 points.
The daily turnover stood at Rs 643.60 million, slightly higher than Rs 515.81 million on Monday. There was no trade in the stock exchange market on Tuesday as the government declared a public holiday to mourn the death of centerarian Satya Mohan Joshi.
In individual companies, Soaltee Hotel Limited had the largest transaction worth Rs 37.21 million. People’s Power Limited was the topmost loser while Aviyan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained the largest percent in its market value.
