KATHMANDU, August 22: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Monday declined marginally by 7.41 points to close at 2,053.13 points.
This is the second consecutive day that the market lost a single-digit point. On Sunday, the market fell 7.72 points.
Nepse marginally lower in week after last session recovery
The secondary market opened at 2,060.55 points and rose to the day’s highest at 2,065.21 points. However, the market fell to as low as 2,044.40 points before recovering in the intraday transaction.
Except for the mutual fund, the remaining 12 trading groups witnessed a decline in their average share prices. The total turnover amount stood at mere Rs 1.72 billion, a drop from Rs 2.04 billion on Sunday.
Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 281.87 million. NIBL Samriddhi Fund-2 was the biggest loser while Upper Hewa Khola Hydropower Company was the topmost gainer.
