Paudel said that the fare discount was provided following increasing complaints regarding the increase in airfares due to 10-hours a day closure of the Tribhuvan International Airport.

According to the NAC, under its Corporate Social Responsibility, 37 cancer patients were provided with 100 percent discounted tickets for two-way flights to Delhi, and 33 attendants of these patients were given tickets with a 50 percent discount. The discount was provided based on the doctor’s report and the recommendation of the Nepal Cancer Relief Society from November 1 to 22, 2024.
