Nepali youth arrested on charge of shooting a Nepali co-worker in USA

KATHMANDU, July 14: Milan Ghimire, a 23-year old Nepali youth has been arrested on charge of shooting a fellow Nepali co-worker on Monday. Phu Tsewang, a 56-year-old co-worker of Ghimire was found dead from multiple gunshots.

KATHMANDU, July 14: Milan Ghimire, a 23-year old Nepali youth has been arrested on charge of shooting a fellow Nepali co-worker on Monday. Phu Tsewang, a 56-year-old co-worker of Ghimire was found dead from multiple gunshots.


According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the gas station employee of Mahwah, New Jersey was arrested on charges of murder, unlawful weapon possession and tampering with evidence. “On Monday, at approximately 9:44 PM, the Mahwah Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a shooting at 26 Avenue A,” the Office further informed. “Responding officers found the victim, 56-year-old Phu Tsewang, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.”

Ghimire was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and one count of fourth-degree tampering with evidence. “The charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt,” the statement issued by the Office quoted Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella as saying.
