Nepal records 521 new cases, 3,935 recoveries with 10 deaths on Sunday

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: As many as 3,935 people recovered from COVID-19 on Sunday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 521 new cases of COVID-19 with 10 deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.

As many as 10,115 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 427 PCR and 94 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 22,798 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 21,692 are in self-isolation, 892 in institutional isolation, 181 in ICU’s and 33 on ventilators. Similarly, 118 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,892 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 150 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 97 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, nine in Bhaktapur and 44 in Lalitpur districts.
