KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Nepal recorded 316 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday along with 259 recoveries and three deaths, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 12,727 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 285 PCR and 31 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 7,111 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 6,610 are in home isolation, 344 in institutional isolation, 120 in ICU’s and 37 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,529 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 150 cases of the virus on Wednesday. Of them, 119 were recorded in Kathmandu, two in Bhaktapur, and 29 in Lalitpur districts.
