KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Nepal recorded 259 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday along with 264 recoveries and one death, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 9,888 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 243 PCR and 16 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 7,140 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 6,541 are in home isolation, 403 in institutional isolation, 159 in ICU’s and 37 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,524 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 115 cases of the virus on Monday. Of them, 78 were recorded in Kathmandu, seven in Bhaktapur, and 30 in Lalitpur districts.
