KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Nepal recorded 264 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday along with 262 recoveries and two deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 13,709 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 229 PCR and 35 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 5,836 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,386 are in home isolation, 303 in institutional isolation, 120 in ICUs, and 27 on ventilators. Similarly, 95 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,559 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 147 cases of the virus on Tuesday. Of them, 109 were recorded in Kathmandu, eight in Bhaktapur, and 30 in Lalitpur districts.
