KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Nepal recorded 259 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday along with 337 recoveries and three deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 10,487 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 232 PCR and 27 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 6,143 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,720 are in home isolation, 277 in institutional isolation, 115 in ICUs and 31 on ventilators. Similarly, 96 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,552 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 128 cases of the virus on Friday. Of them, 79 were recorded in Kathmandu, seven in Bhaktapur, and 42 in Lalitpur districts.
