KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Nepal recorded 280 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday along with 366 recoveries and two deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 12,174 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 255 PCR and 25 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 6,396 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,913 are in home isolation, 326 in institutional isolation, 128 in ICUs and 29 on ventilators. Similarly, 96 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,547 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 146 cases of the virus on Wednesday. Of them, 100 were recorded in Kathmandu, 15 in Bhaktapur, and 31 in Lalitpur districts.
