KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Nepal recorded 280 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday along with 300 recoveries and six deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 11,994 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 252 PCR and 28 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 5,772 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,353 are in home isolation, 282 in institutional isolation, 112 in ICUs and 25 on ventilators. Similarly, 95 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,565 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 118 cases of the virus on Wednesday. Of them, 89 were recorded in Kathmandu, nine in Bhaktapur, and 20 in Lalitpur districts.
