KATHMANDU, July 30: Nepal recorded 438 new cases of COVID-19 along with 277 recoveries and two deaths from the virus on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population.
As many as 3,699 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 292 PCR and 146 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 4,369 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 4,218 are in self-isolation, 151 in institutional isolation, 33 in ICUs and four on ventilators. So far, 11,966 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 211 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. Among them, 155 were reported in Kathmandu, 44 in Lalitpur and 12 in Bhaktapur districts.
