KATHMANDU, July 28: Nepal recorded 710 new cases of COVID-19 along with 215 recoveries and two deaths from the virus on Thursday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population.
As many as 5,025 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 524 PCR and 183 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 4,272 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 4,080 are in self-isolation, 156 in institutional isolation, 33 in ICUs and three on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,962 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 324 cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Among them, 244 were reported in Kathmandu, 64 in Lalitpur and 16 in Bhaktapur districts.
