KATHMANDU, July 16: Nepal recorded 2,936 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday along with 1,775 recoveries and 43 deaths.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 9,613 PCR tests and 4,569 antigen tests were conducted on Friday. Of them, 2,006 PCR tests and 930 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the COVID-19.

So far, 9,506 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal.
There are a total of 24,274 COVID-19 patients in home isolations, 2,553 in institutional isolations, 578 in ICUs and 174 on ventilators as of Friday afternoon.
Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 541 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 343 were detected in Kathmandu, 62 in Bhaktapur and 136 in Lalitpur districts.
