KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Nepal recorded 1,089 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, alongwith 1,534 recoveries and 20 deaths. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally has reached 8,54,321 according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
Among the 7,971 tests conducted on Sunday, 976 PCR tests and 113 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 31,284 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 29,081 are in home isolation, 2,167 in institutional isolation, 523 in ICUs and 162 on ventilators. Similarly, 266 people are in quarantine.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded 453 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 288 were recorded in Kathmandu, 67 in Bhaktapur and 98 in Lalitpur districts.
