KATHMANDU, April 4: Nepal recorded 24 new cases of COVID-19 along with 51 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 5,587 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 21 PCR tests and three antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 829 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 771 are in self-isolation, 41 in institutional isolation, 15 in ICU’s and two on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 10 cases of COVID-19 on the day - eight in Kathmandu and two in Lalitpur districts.
