Nepal logs 26 new cases, 37 recoveries and zero death on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, April 12: Nepal recorded 26 new cases of COVID-19 along with 37 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, April 12: Nepal recorded 26 new cases of COVID-19 along with 37 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


As many as 4,078 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 23 PCR and three antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 566 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 531 are in self-isolation, 23 in institutional isolation, 11 in ICU’s and one on a ventilator. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.


Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded three cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Among them, two were reported in Kathmandu and one in Lalitpur districts.
