India finished first with 22 gold medals in the two-day competition in Nepalgunj while Sri Lanka finished second with seven gold medals.[break]
Pun lifted 63 kg in snatch and 90 kg in clean and jerk for a total weight of 153 kg in women´s 69 kg weight category. Another Nepali weightlifter Laxmi Thapa lifted 56 kg in snatch and 68 kg in clean and jerk with the total of 153kg to claim all three silver medals in the category for Nepal.
In women´s 75kg weight category, Shariya Sultan of Bangladesh won gold medals with the total of 153kg. Nepali lifter Laxmi Ban clinched two silver medals in the category. Ban lifted 50kg in snatch and 108kg in total for the silver medals. Champa Thakulla clinched silver medal in the clean as she lifted 60kg. Thakulla won two bronze medals in the category with 40kg in snatch and 100kg in total. Ban lifted 58kg on clean for the silver medal.
Meanwhile, in the women´s 75kg MMD Harischandra won three gold medals. Nepali lifter Ram Maya Thapa clinched three silver medalslifting 58kg in snatch, 78kg in clean and 136kg in total. Jasmin Akhtar from Bangladesh clinched three bronze medals.
In the men´s 85kg section Jaswant Singh clean swept gold medals. Singh lifted 126kg in snatch, 150kg in clean and 276kg in total for the gold. Mohammad Mustafa Karmand of Afghanistan clinched silver medal in the snatch with the weight of 110kg and Nepali lifter Narayan Shrestha clinched bronze with 100kg. CTJN Parera lifted 145kg in clean for the silver medal and Afghani Karmand won bronze with 128kg weight.

In men´s 94kg Khuram Sahajad won all three gold medals. Abdul Al Mumin of Bangladesh won silver medal and RMRR Samarshekhara won bronze in snatch. Samarshekhara won silver medals in clean and in total while M Ab Gafur of Afghanistan won bronze medal in clean and Mumin won bronze in total.
In men´s 105 kg, VA Christopher of India clean swept the gold medals. Bhidut Kumar Ray of Bangladesh won sliver medals while Abdul Rayuf Nori of Afghanistan won bronze medals in the category.
In above 105kg section Mohammad Hussein Husseine of Afghanistan lifted 150kg and provided first gold for the country. He lifted 175kg in clean and 325kg in total which gave him silver medals. Himansu Kumar Chang of India won two gold medals and silver in the category. Mustaq Mahamud Butt of Pakistan won two bronze medals and silver in the category.
