Nearly 3,000 Nepal Army personnel test positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU, Oct 9: Nearly 3,000 Nepal Army (NA) personnel have been infected with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as of Friday.

KATHMANDU, Oct 9: Nearly 3,000 Nepal Army (NA) personnel have been infected with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as of Friday.


According to the Public Relations Directorate of Nepal Army, a total of 2,988 NA personnel have tested positive for the COVID-19 so far. On Friday alone, 19 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed among army personnel.

NA Spokesperson Brigadier General Santosh Ballav Paudel said a total of 1,518 NA personnel tested positive for the COVID-19 have already recovered, while two NA personnel have died of this disease so far.


There are a total of 1,468 active cases of COVID-19 among army personnel. A high level of precautions has been adopted to avoid further transmission of COVID-19 among army personnel, according to NA’s Public Relations Directorate.
